Hormone Optimization for Men

Hormone care built around your clinical picture.

Hormone optimization is an individualized clinical process that considers symptoms, health history, laboratory findings, priorities, and risk factors before any treatment decision is made.

01 · Understand the approach

Personalized information before any treatment decision.

Hormone therapy is considered only after an individualized evaluation. The conversation includes what may be contributing to your concerns, whether testing is appropriate, and which options—not only pellet therapy—should be considered.

Goal of care

Optimization with clinical context.

The goal is to determine whether a hormone-related concern may be present and whether a monitored treatment plan is appropriate. Candidacy and dosing are individualized; treatment is not based on a single symptom or laboratory value alone.

What BHRT means

Structurally similar hormones.

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, or BHRT, uses hormones that are structurally similar to hormones naturally present in the body. “Bioidentical” describes molecular structure; it does not mean treatment is automatically appropriate, risk-free, or guaranteed to produce a particular result.

What to expect

History, symptoms, labs, then options.

The process includes a comprehensive consultation and laboratory evaluation, a candidacy review, and a discussion of options. If pellet therapy is appropriate and selected, insertion may be completed at the same visit when feasible or scheduled for a follow-up appointment.

02 · The Biote Method

Subcutaneous hormone pellets for appropriate patients.

Allegiant Community Care offers the Biote Method, which uses subcutaneous hormone pellets as one possible form of bioidentical hormone therapy. Pellets are placed beneath the skin during a brief in-office procedure after consultation, laboratory review, candidacy assessment, and informed discussion.

Some patients may notice changes in about 2–4 weeks, but timing and results vary. Ongoing monitoring helps guide whether follow-up care or future insertions are appropriate.

03 · How to get started

Four deliberate steps. One individualized plan.

Each stage is designed to support informed decision-making, appropriate screening, and follow-up rather than a predetermined treatment outcome.

01

Consultation & goals

Review symptoms, medical history, medications, priorities, and factors that could affect candidacy for hormone therapy.

02

Comprehensive labs

Complete clinician-selected testing to assess the broader clinical picture and establish information for individualized decision-making.

03

Review & possible insertion

Discuss candidacy, risks, benefits, alternatives, costs, and dosing. If appropriate and elected, pellet insertion may be same-day or scheduled later.

04

Monitoring & ongoing care

Return for clinical and laboratory follow-up so response, safety, and the need for future care can be assessed over time.

04 · Important expectations

A consultation is for clarity—not a promise of treatment.

Not everyone is a candidate for hormone therapy or pellet insertion. Your clinician will review whether treatment may be appropriate and discuss potential benefits, risks, alternatives, anticipated costs, and recommended follow-up before you decide how to proceed.

Individual response varies.

Timing, response, dose needs, and follow-up differ from person to person. No specific clinical or quality-of-life outcome is promised.

Educational information.

This page provides general education and is not medical advice or a diagnosis. A consultation is required for individualized recommendations.

Emergency care.

For a medical emergency, call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency department. Do not use online scheduling for urgent care.
